Scoutmaster Minute: Freedom is Not Free

"Freedom is not free" expresses gratitude for the service of members of the military, implicitly stating that the freedoms enjoyed by many citizens in many democracies are only possible through the risks taken and sacrifices made by those in the military.

Some people get confused about the differences between Memorial Day and Veterans Day, but there is a difference:
Memorial Day, on the last Monday in May, is when we remember and honor men and women who died while serving in the military.
Veterans Day, on November 11, is the day to thank all the men and women who have served in the military during wars and peaceful times.

Take time to thank a member of the military, who help maintain our freedom:

Yours in Scouting,
Mr. Cooper
